• Bedbugs - live in beds and hide in small cracks and crevices. They primarily dine on humans and their bites can become red and itchy
• Black widow spider - has neurotoxic venom that can cause intense pain, convulsions, and possible death. Seek treatment immediately in case of a spider bite
• Boxelders - feed on leaves, flowers, and seed pods of the box elder tree or silver maple
• Brown recluse spider - inflicts a nasty bite that is difficult to treat and causes scarring
• Carpenter ants - damage wood by hollowing it out for nesting and excavate galleries in wood
• Carpenter bees - cause damage to wooden structures with nests that weaken the structural wood and leave holes and stains on building surfaces
• Centipedes - they are elongated animals with many segments that typically live indoors with damp or moist spaces
• Clover mites - are about 1/30" long. They invade homes in early spring or late fall in enormous numbers
• Earwigs - may emit a foul-smelling liquid. They are active at night, cause feeding damage on flowers, vegetables, fruit, and other plants
• Fleas - bite and they are rarely felt but can cause serious medical problems
• Millipedes - have rounded, elongated bodies, and they feed on organic matter and invade homes
• Powder post beetles - is a wood-boring insect that causes damage to many wood products at home
• Roaches - are the most common house-infesting insect and they are commonly found where food is produced
• Scorpions - are arachnids and relatives of ticks, mites, and spiders. They sting when disturbed
• Silverfish - often live in cool, damp places, and eat a variety of foods including glue paper and flour
• Termites - are wood-destroying organisms that live in huge colonies. They primarily feed on dead wood
